We went to Shu's brother's wedding in Maui, and then added some time to ourselves in Kauai. Our daughter stayed at home with Grandparents during our tip.
Our thoughts on our condo and hotel, as well as restaurants, are on TripAdvisor.com under Webbed. Please look under Noelani in Maui and Sheraton Kauai.
On our first night into Maui, we went to the wedding rehearsal dinner, where we met with Shu's cousin and her daughter. We spent a very nice evening of great food and fun company.
On our first full day in Maui, we went to Kaanapali Beach, just outside the Sheraton Maui, where you can rent a covered canopy to enjoy the beautiful beach without the sunburn.
The wedding was held in the evening on the lawn of the RItz Carlton Maui, overlooking the ocean.
The next morning, we had breakfast at the Westin Maui, and then spent some time playing in the waters in Kahana Beach.
We then took off to the Maui Ocean Center.
We also went to the Iao Valley.
Our day ended with an evening at the Old Lahaina Luau with the newly weds and families.
Shu and Vera then went onto Kauai, while his mom, cousin and her daugther went onto Oahu.
After spending a couple of lazy afternoons of massages and shopping, our first activity was to cruise the Napali Coast.
We also took a drive up to the Waimea Canyon. The first attempt was unsuccessful because of rain and fog; but our second attempt yielded a beautiful day with a great view of the Napali Coast.
And so ended another tropical vacation... We went home to our awaiting daughter.
