Day 4:
On this day, we decided to rent a car and explore the island on our own.  We quickly learned to drive on the left side of the road and brave the many roundabouts. The car had its basics: air conditioning and power windows. The car otherwise rattled and sputtered, and scraped the bottom whenever we went over a speed bump. It was a clear sign that the car had hit too many pot holes and driven over too many unpaved roads (by the way, gas cost around $4 a gallon at the time... seems cheap by today's standards, but was very expensive at the time)
We drove over to Blue Hills, the "older" part of the island.  We then attempted to drive to Sapodilla, but turned around after we realized that the lack of street signs and the rough road made our trip there impossible.  It was then that we discovered another side of Provo, with the heaps of old appliances, beer cans and piles of stripped junked cars.
Once we were back on the road, we explored the Saltmills and Port of Call, and ate lunch at the Saltmills Café. We then drove to the Conch Farm, the first and only conch farm in the world.

Our night ended with a dinner at the beach. There, we ate with other guests at the resort and had a wonderful dinner with the sunset in the background.
