Day 1: April 14, 2001

Our flight out on this day was 6:24 am.  This morning should have been a quiet one, but as it turned out, it was also Easter weekend, and so there were many people at the airport when we arrived at 5:30.  But before long, we were off to Dallas/Fort Worth, with another 2.5 hours flight at 2pm into Belize, Central America.

We arrived in Belize and cleared customs at around 5pm.  The time difference is only one hour for California (one hour ahead of us.... but this is because they don't practice day light savings time), so there was no need to adjust ourselves.

We switched over to a local plane carrier, Maya Air, to take us to San Pedro, Ambergris Caye, which was only a few minutes away.  And by the time we arrived at our resort, it was 7pm and we were exhausted.
